This is draft reference language for participation and media consent. Final language should be reviewed before any paid public pilot launches. Last updated 2026-04-21.
1. Acknowledgement of risk
I acknowledge that snowboarding is an inherently risky activity. Risks include, but are not limited to: falls; collisions with fixed or moving objects (other riders, lift towers, snowmaking equipment, trees, the snow surface); changing weather and snow conditions; exposure to cold; equipment malfunction; and the negligence of other participants. I voluntarily assume those risks.
2. Participation rules
I agree to:
- Follow the instructor's guidance regarding terrain, speed, and safety;
- Ride within my ability and not exceed terrain the instructor has cleared me for;
- Respect the Responsibility Code of the National Ski Areas Association;
- Wear a helmet if I am under 18, and wear appropriate cold-weather and waterproof clothing;
- Report injuries or equipment issues promptly to the instructor.
